We at Morocco Everyday Tours offer unique and adventure trip to Atlas mountains with overnight stay in refuugee. This trip is available everyday. We offer free pick-up service from your hotel - riads in Marrakech to Imlil and back.

DAY 1 : MARRAKECH - IMLIL - TOUBKAL REFUGE

Arrive from Marrakech to the city of Imlil to begin the trek. Head along the Ait Mizane Valley and pass through the village of Aremd, and then onto the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch. You will then continue east and cross the flood plains. The route also takes you along mule tracks and up into the high rocky cliffs above the valley. From here the trail continues to climb steadily, snaking and zigzagging its way up to the snow line and the Toukbal Refuge (3,206 meters); your stop for the night. You will walk for approximately 4-5 hours.

DAY 2 : TOUBKAL REFUGE - SUMMIT - REFUGE - IMLIL

Toukbal is the highest peak in Northern Africa. The route takes you up the south cirque, crossing the stream above the refuge. The walking is relatively straightforward, but the scree and the altitude will make the going quite difficult in parts. The views along the way make the journey more than worthwhile. When you reach the summit, you will see the vistas across the surrounding landscape which are quite breathtaking. From here there are beautiful views in every direction, from the Marrakech Plain to the High Atlas in the north, and as far south as the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara desert. Then you will return down the mountain and head back towards Imlil.
